Florum Luminescens, named from Latin 'florum' (flower) and 'luminescens' (glowing), is a bioluminescent species within the Photosynthetica Luminescentia cluster. Growing 10-25 cm tall with delicate stems adapted for Air Current Undulation, its flowers have translucent, radially symmetric petals with orange speckles, intricate venation, and scalloped edges. The peachy-pink stamen contrast blue-violet petals. Emitting blue bioluminescence (420-490 nm) intensified along petal veins via a luciferin-luciferase reaction in epidermal granules, it inhabits abyssal ocean gardens at 0–10°C. It supports nocturnal moths and bioluminescent insects for pollination, playing a vital ecological role in this endangered 20-species cluster of abyssal flora.
