Luminosa Floraglow, from Latin for 'brightly shining' and 'glowing flowers,' is a bioluminescent species in genus Corallium, family Coralliaceae. It features densely clustered, cup-shaped, vibrant orange petals with ruffled, velvety margins and luminescent gland edges. Dark, undulating bracts surround the inflorescence. Central flowers emit intense blue-violet bioluminescence (450–495 nm), aiding nocturnal pollinator attraction. Growing 15–30 cm tall, it sways in air currents in cool (5–20°C) tropical rainforest understories. Bioluminescence, via luciferin-luciferase, is localized in petal tips and inner cavities, attracting nocturnal moths. Rare but stable, with 10 related taxa in the Corallium Celestialia cluster, it weighs up to 15 g and supports rainforest nocturnal pollination.
