Luminaflora Auroralis, named for its light-emitting dawn-like glow, is a bioluminescent plant producing soft blue-green light (450-495 nm) with warm orange speckles. It features delicate, semi-translucent, zygomorphic flowers with five ovate petals displaying vibrant orange dots near nectar guides. Prominent curved stamens and a luminescent pistil are central. Flowers cluster on thin, flexible stems 30-50 cm tall, swaying to aid pollen dispersal. Native to tropical rainforest understories at 15-25°C, it thrives in humid shade. Bioluminescence in specialized epidermal cells attracts nocturnal pollinators (moths, bats). A keystone species in the genus Luminaflora within a rare bioluminescent family of 20 species, it supports tropical biodiversity through specialized night pollination.
