Luminogaster Spectravis, named for its luminous fruiting body and spectral blue bioluminescence (400-480nm), is a bioluminescent fungus from the tropical rainforest canopy in the Luminous Terra cluster. It features a translucent, irregularly lobed, gelatinous cap with vein-like pulsating structures, closely spaced gills, and a robust, wrinkled stem. The orange inner glow suggests active luciferin-luciferase reactions in the hymenium and cap, adapted to 5-25°C microhabitats. As a Basidiomycota in Agaricales genus Luminogaster with ten congeneric species, it colonizes decomposing woody substrates, aiding nutrient cycling and biodiversity. Its pulsatile luminescence may attract spore dispersers or deter predators.
