Luminomycota Aurorabloom, named from Latin 'lumen' (light) and 'aurora' (dawn), is a bioluminescent fungal species in the Arboreal Aurantica cluster. It features 15-40 cm tall fruiting bodies with funnel-shaped, golden-orange hymenial surfaces and purplish, wavy caps. Dense gills radiate from fibrous, fleshy stems. Blue-green bioluminescence (450-495 nm) arises from photogenic cells around pores and gill edges via a luciferin-luciferase reaction, likely attracting insects to aid spore dispersal. Endemic to tropical rainforest canopies, it decomposes hardwood within a 10-25°C range. Classified in Mycenaceae, genus Luminomycota, order Agaricales, it disperses spores by air currents and supports forest health through extensive mycelial nutrient cycling.
