Phospheris Lumiglimmer, named from Greek 'phos' (light) and Latin 'glimmer', is a novel bioluminescent butterfly of the Lepidoptera order within the Fluorescentum Mystica cluster. It features translucent wings spanning 0-10 cm, with intricate veining and vibrant hues of purple, orange, and blue. Wing scales refract light to emit a radiant blue-green glow (420-490 nm), visible in low-light tropical rainforest canopies. The fragile body weighs 0-2 g, with slender antennae and undulating flight adapted for mid-to-upper canopy niches in 20-30°C humid environments. This species, one of 20 bioluminescent butterflies in its cluster, uses photogenic cells for camouflage and nocturnal intraspecific communication. Classified as vulnerable, its conservation highlights habitat preservation needs.
