Illumispectrus Luminalis, from Latin 'illuminate' and 'spectrum,' is a rare bioluminescent plant in the Illuminaetherea Petalens cluster. It grows 10-25 cm tall, weighing up to 15 g, with translucent, ruffled petals displaying violet-blue gradients and orange pollen on petals and anthers. Slender stems enable light-responsive swaying to attract pollinators. Its blue-green luminescence (450-495 nm) suggests a luciferin-luciferase system adapted to low-light tropical rainforest understories. Native to warm, shaded regions (15-25°C), it attracts nocturnal pollinators like moths and glow-worm beetles. Belonging to Illuminaethereaceae, genus Illumispectrus, it aids cross-pollination, enhancing biodiversity in its protected habitat.
