Luminiflora Spectracanthus, named for its radiant floral spines ('luminis' = light, 'canthus' = thorn), is a bioluminescent aquatic plant of the Illuminaetherea Petalens cluster. It features translucent, undulating violet-blue petals with speckled textures and ruffled edges, arranged radially around amber-glowing reproductive structures. Slender, flexible stems enable aquatic movement in its Abyssal Ocean Gardens habitat (0-10°C). Bioluminescence from photoproteins emits 450-495 nm blue-green light to attract nocturnal pollinators. Growing 30-50 cm tall and weighing 15-50 g, it belongs to Illuminaethereaceae, genus Luminiflora (10 species). This keystone species supports nutrient cycling and diverse fauna by enhancing reproductive success of marine insects and crustaceans in low-light abyssal zones.
