Luminosa Florescentia, from Latin for 'shining flower,' is a bioluminescent marine flora of the Corallium Celestialia cluster, family Corallaceae, genus Corallium. It features translucent, pale blue to faint amber petals arranged radially with intricate veining and bright orange pollen around a finely textured spherical stigma. Stems are slender, semi-translucent, ribbed, and 15-30 cm tall, adapted for aquatic undulation in cool marine caves (0-10°C). Bioluminescence at the petal bases and stems emits a blue-green glow (450-495 nm) via luciferin enzymes, aiding nocturnal pollinators by highlighting reproductive structures. It engages in symbiotic relationships with bioluminescent marine fauna, enhancing pollination and contributing to underwater light ecosystems.
