Luminflora Mystica, from Latin lumen (light) and flora (flowers), with mystica highlighting its enigmatic bioluminescence, is a 30-50 cm tall species in the Phantasmal Florale cluster. It features elongated, semi-translucent violet and turquoise petals adorned with glandular trichomes emitting 420-490 nm blue-green light. Central orange stamens contrast vividly. The slender, sturdy stem supports gentle swaying in its humid tropical rainforest understory habitat, preferring shaded, moist, organic-rich soil at 15-30°C. Belonging to family Phantasmataceae, genus Luminflora, it likely targets nocturnal moths and beetles for pollination, playing an ecological role in sustaining nocturnal pollinator networks and is vulnerable due to habitat specificity.
