Luminifloris Spectrapetala, named from Latin 'lumen' (light), 'floris' (flower), and 'spectra' (light range), is a bioluminescent species in the Phantasmae Notani cluster. Growing 15–30 cm tall in tropical rainforest understories, it has slender translucent stems with delicate five-petaled flowers featuring undulating margins and intricate venation. Bioluminescent orange and green speckles highlight veins and edges, emitting light in the 620-680 nm spectrum via specialized luciferin-enzymatic reactions in petal tissue. Thriving at 15-25°C in shaded humid environments, it belongs to Phantasmaeaceae, genus Luminifloris, with 10 species. Its luminescence attracts nocturnal pollinators like moths and beetles, enhancing nighttime visibility to ensure reproductive success in low-light habitats.
