Luminoflora Spectra, named from Latin lumino (light), flora (flower), and spectra (light range), is a unique member of the Helios Petalate cluster. It features translucent, broad petals in amber and pale blue with intricate veins and chromatophore-like structures producing cool turquoise to greenish bioluminescence (470-530 nm) via a luciferin-luciferase reaction localized in petal cells. The plant grows 30-50 cm tall, weighing 15-50 g, with a clustered rosette of petals surrounding filamentous reproductive organs. Native to tropical rainforest canopies, it thrives at 15-25°C and utilizes gentle air currents for spore dispersal. Its nocturnal glow attracts moths and beetles, aiding cross-pollination. Taxonomically, it belongs to a rare yet stable family within a genus of 10 species.
