Floraglow Luminescens, a rare bioluminescent flowering plant of the genus Floraglow (family Photosynthetica Luminescentia), features translucent, ruffled pale bluish petals with fine orange speckles arranged radially around a central disc-like stigma. The veined petals emit soft blue-green bioluminescence (420-490 nm) via luciferin-like compounds and specialized photoproteins. Native to 0-10°C hydrothermal vent environments, it grows 15-30 cm tall, weighing 150-300 g, anchored by a specialized holdfast amid mineral-rich waters. Its fleshy stems adapt for aquatic undulation. Floraglow Luminescens supports nocturnal aquatic pollinators using luminescence to attract bioluminescent organisms, facilitating cross-pollination and resilience in its unique biotope. It is one of ten species in its cluster and holds protected rarity status.
