Luminiflorus Fantastica, named from Latin for 'light' and 'flowering,' is a bioluminescent species with large, translucent petals exhibiting violet venation and ruffled margins, arranged radially around a central nectary. Petals show sporadic orange-pink bioluminescent spots from photogenic cells. Central floral organs include detailed stamens and pistils. Its slender, sturdy stem enables aquatic undulation in deep ocean reef habitats. Bioluminescence occurs via photocytes emitting 420–490 nm blue-green light, aiding visibility in dim marine depths. Preferring 10–25°C, it thrives in shaded coral ecosystems at 30–60 cm height and 150–300 g weight. Belonging to Luminous Petalaceae, it attracts nocturnal aquatic pollinators, promoting cross-pollination. This rare, protected species uniquely adapts to deep-sea floral niches with complex biochemical light emission.
