Luminflora Aurantiacus, named for its light and orange hue, is a bioluminescent plant endemic to tropical rainforest understories. Reaching up to 10 cm, it has densely clustered, undulating leaves and petals with alternating deep green and bright orange bands, featuring crinkled petals with glandular trichomes emitting blue-green bioluminescence at 470-530nm. This glow, from epidermal luciferin-like compounds active at night, attracts nocturnal moth pollinators. Flowers show compact, club-shaped stamens with lavender pollen. Belonging to the Noctifloral Anthophytes genus of 10 species, it thrives in shaded, humid zones (20-30°C) with low nutrients. Due to restricted habitat and slow growth, it is endangered, requiring conservation.
