Being caught in a washy chasm of whitewash from a large crashing wave is a disorienting, overwhelming experience. The wave's force slams into you, pulling you under in a chaotic swirl of frothy water, where you're tumbled and twisted, losing all sense of direction. The roar of the wave fills your ears as the powerful current drags you along, making it difficult to regain control or catch your breath. Panic creeps in as your lungs burn for air, but just as the wave's fury begins to subside, you find a moment to surface, gasping for breath in the suddenly calm world above.
