Central Park is an oasis in the desert of the grid. Walking in Central Park, you ALMOST forget you're in New York City. Now, take a view from 7500 feet above the island of Manhattan, and you are able to see the size of the park, which is situated in a centralized area of the island. This image is special to me because in the frame is also the Hudson River. This is a huge natural thoroughfare that has, through commerce, built New York into the global influence that it is today. Once again evidence of how man has adapted the natural world to aid in its development.
