Bitcoinista
SuperRare
A characterization of the modern Bitcoiner, driven to support the decentralized money movement through philosophies and political ideologies such as libertarianism, free market capitalism, and crypto-anarchy. This piece is a follow-up to "Satoshi el Gigante", using the same dimensions and color scheme. The title is also a play on words of the Zapatista movement, founded and led by Emiliano Zapata in Mexico.
Detailed touches (concepts) in this art piece include the pan-in on the base layer of the character (establishing the network & movement), construction of the multi-layered Satoshi mask (anonymous leader, identities often speculated over), tokens designed to communicate bitcoin as both a currency capable of bringing liberty and freedom to its users, and a political/economic movement, animated lightning bolts (bitcoin lightning network), Collages of ammunition morphing into images of casascius bitcoins (representing digital/memetic warfare), subtle anti-bank mutterings in the background/margins (often marginalized), and moving images within the character's garments representing the fluctuation of values and sentiment/fervency (market cycles) over time.
"Áquellos que luchan por un mejor sistema de dinero." "Those who fight for a better money system."
"Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida arrodillado." "Better o die on my feet than live on my knees."
