Scavenger Vogsphere Nest

Scavenger, as it's named by the native colonists, is an Earth-like planet in a remote and desolated solar system with no other planets orbiting Antares, the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius. Often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion", Antares is flanked by σ Scorpii and τ Scorpii near the center of the constellation.

By far the most interesting creatures on this planet are the aquatic Vogspheres. They may not be as majestic as the birds or as fierce as some of the land mammals on Scavenger, but they are the only species who are sentient. This aquatic Vogsphere forms huge colonies and actively takes care of each other. They even build makeshift complex structures out of the available materials on the sea floors to protect their young and unhatched eggs.
