Vera Molnár, born in Budapest on January 5th, 1924, currently resides in Paris. She studied painting and obtained a diploma in art history and aesthetics from the Budapest College of Fine Arts between 1942 and 1947. During this time, she began creating non-representational images in 1946. In 1947, she moved to France after an artist fellowship in Rome at the Villa Julia and occasionally collaborated with François Molnár, whom she married in 1948.

Molnár delved into the machine imaginaire method from 1959 to 1968. In 1960, she co-founded the Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel (GRAV) and exhibited in the "Konkrete Kunst" (Concrete Art) exhibition in Zurich. She co-founded the Group Art et Informatique in 1967. Starting in 1968, she worked extensively with computer graphics and co-developed the "Molnart" software program with her husband. Notably, her first solo exhibition, "Transformations," occurred in London in 1976, and she collaborated with the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris in 1979.
